Nepali Congress’ leader Harihar Acharya deceased at 70 due to Coronavirus

Nepali Congress Arghakhanchi’s leader Harihar Acharya has passed away.

Harihar Acharya, who was undergoing treatment at Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu after the confirmation of COVID-19, died on Sunday at the age of 70.

Acharya, who was infected with the coronavirus, had been undergoing treatment at the teaching hospital for 19 days. Acharya’s younger brother Yuvraj Acharya informed that he died on Sunday while undergoing further treatment for pneumonia despite the corona test being negative for the last five days.

Acharya was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Sunday. Senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel and General Secretary Dr Sashank Koirala have paid their last respects to Acharya by covering his body with the party’s flag.
