The Sagarmatha National Park Office has recommended action against Sudhir Chaudhary, editor of Indian media Zee News. In a letter to all helicopter service providers regarding helicopter hovering and regulation, the park officials said that the helicopter landed without permission and recommended action against Chaudhary.
A letter has been sent to the helicopter companies recommending to take necessary action for landing in the Kalapatthar area without permission of the Department of National Parks and without the written permission of Sagarmatha National Park office,”.
The park officials have said that Helicopter had landed and even the area was filmed without permission, drawing serious attention. The park office has urged all service providers not to land helicopters without permission and has drawn attention to the incident on Poush 26.
“The office has drawn serious attention to illegal activities such as landing helicopters and filming the area within the park and reserved area without permission,” mentioned in the letter.
Sudhir Chaudhary’s activities in Nepal
On Poush 26, Indian journalist Sudhir Chaudhary landed a Simrik Air helicopter in the park and filmed it and broadcasted it on Indian media Zee-News. Just a day before that, Sudhir Chaudhary’s interview with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was broadcasted on Zee-News.
