The first KFTC Knockout Futsal Tournament has been held in Bhaktapur on Saturday. The competition was organized by Khwopa Futsal and Training Center (KFTC) in coordination with Bhaktapur District Football Association.
According to the organizers, about 38 teams from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur are participating in the competition. Although two dozen teams were expected to take part in the competition, the participants said that they participated in a very enthusiastic manner.
Indesh Awal, the coordinator of the committee formed for the successful completion of the KFTC knockout futsal competition, informed that prizes and certificates would be given to the first, second team, and various other categories in the competition. He said that the first team will be awarded medals, trophies, and certificates with Rs 20,000 cash and the second team will be awarded medals, trophies, and certificates with Rs 10,000 cash. He also said that there is a plan to give a token of love and a certificate to the best player, best keeper, and fair play team.
The organizers of the KFTC knockout futsal Tournament also distributed face masks to the participants to keep them safe from COVID-19. Masks were also made mandatory for the participating spectators.
This is the first time that KFTC Knockout Futsal Tournament has been organized by KHP Futsal and Training Center in Bhaktapur. It is said that the competition is being held with the objective of helping the people to stay healthy by normalizing the life of the people who were abnormal with Corona. The competition was held at Khwopa Futsal and Training Center at Suryabinayak Sundarvasti in Bhaktapur.
KHP Futsal and Training Center has been imparting futsal training to the under-15s under the junior team. Coach Vikesh Suwal said that KHP Futsal and Training Center is planning to impart futsal training to the students of the school in coordination with the Bhaktapur District Football Association.
